Ferrari F1 Spotted In Changi

Ferrari F1 In Changi

I managed to spot a Ferrari F1 in Changi. This should be part of the marketing strategy in preparation for the first Formula One night race in Singapore coming this September 2008. Coincidentally, Felipe Massa of the Ferrari team won the Turkish Grand Prix on that day as well.

Almost A Well Planned Coordinated Attack
January 29th, 2008 by chingwei

No banana stories but I have some orange stories. I was on my way down the temple near my neighbourhood. The temple is very serene, located up above the hills of my hometown.

After some community work, I was given 6 packets of mandarin oranges packed in translucent plastic bags. I hugged all them and brought it down through the stairs. I walked up & down the stairs for the past 20 years (most probably many more years to come). Nothing came close to what I experienced last weekend.

I saw a few groups of monkeys jumping around from trees to trees. I thought they were playing around. I didn’t pay much attention either & continued walking down. Upon reaching the ‘middle station’, more & more groups appeared to come out from trees behind, beside & in front of me. They were unlike the ones that I saw in Botanical Garden. At that moment, I really started thinking, what did I do? Oh no. The oranges! They can be seen by them. Great. Simply marvelous. I have nothing for self defense except to throw the oranges to them which is the last thing I will do. I guessed I will fight all out for it but I knew I was outnumbered. No point going against the tide.

Oranges
Worth hugging for

They pretty much grouped around & sat on the stairs about 5 meters away from where I stood. Some were hanging around the trees and some were sitting on the awning. They have one thing in common though. All were looking at me. The ‘lead’ has made some wild calls to their troop. Could be “On my count, let’s rob that idiot!”.

Nevertheless, I braved myself to walk in between them. Lucky thing, they didn’t start their attack. I unlocked my car with the remote control & went in. That’s when I felt relieved. The monkeys were still looking at me perhaps regretted they didn’t rob me earlier on.

Next time, monkeys!

General Election

Exactly one month from the last post. How coincident. I have a strong feeling that I am going to miss the general election once again unless I change my schedule. History seems to be repeating by itself again.

Alonso Back To Renault
December 11th, 2007 by chingwei

Spaniard Alonso won both his titles with the French manufacturer in 2005 and 2006 before joining McLaren. He has won 19 races, with his first at the wheel of a Renault in 2003.

Piquet, whose father and namesake was a triple champion in the 1980s, was test driver this season after finishing runner-up to Britain’s Lewis Hamilton in the 2006 GP2 feeder series.

“The decision hasn’t been an easy one to make,” 26-year-old Alonso said after signing a two-year contract with an option on a third.

“I would like to thank all the other teams for their interest to have me work with them.

“I chose Renault in the end considering their commitment to the sport and because of their strong track record.”

Alonso left Renault at the end of last year for McLaren but split with the Mercedes-powered team last month after falling out with senior management over their refusal to give him preferential treatment over Hamilton.

Massage Chair After Race
December 9th, 2007 by chingwei

What do you do after a tiring Formula One race as a spectator? I bet majority will go back home have some dinner & have a good rest. Those races especially in the South East Asia could be worse because of the weather.

The next best thing I wished for after a good bath would be a full body massage from a massage chair. There’s a lot out there in the market but nothing beats Human Touch HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair. I experienced the level of comfort from one of the hotel that provided such chair in my room. This chair is extremely capable of relieving my discomfort, stress and exhaustion after the race. I bet the drivers use them too for a full perfect body massage from head till the toe.
