My Very First Hand-Fried Yam Puffs
I finally managed to learn what I wanted to do all this while during the festive break. Lots of cutting, steaming, frying, mashing & measuring of the ingredients with direct supervision from my grandmother before the end result was achieved at approximately 5PM today. Extremely proud of this & certainly, there is still a long way to go before I can achieve perfection.
Alma Mater From The Top

SXI From The Top
It was a farewell dinner for a colleague but to me it was more like my return to my Alma Mater. For the first time, I had the chance to view my Alma Mater from the top. I spent about 10 minutes doing nothing but just looking at it. It was definitely a distinctive experience.

Best Man – Another First
by chingwei on Apr.03, 2008, under Uniquely Firsts
Two weeks later right after I touched down from Sydney, I made personal history for myself again. No, I didn’t venture to new territories (How I wished) this time but it was a very personal experience for me.
I was called upon to be the best man for Ai Wah & Alex’s wedding just like 36 hours before the actual day. Frankly, it was an enjoyable morning even though a group of us have to endure several fear factor sessions with a plate of kuih with rojak sauce & chili together with baby feeding bottle of drinks that were presented. We became target for everyone without doubts. I became target even from the group of friends that went there together.
Nevertheless, I would like to take this opportunity to wish Ai Wah & Alex both a lifetime of togetherness & everlasting happiness. Congratulations on your wedding.

First With A380
by chingwei on Apr.03, 2008, under Uniquely Firsts
Since December 2005, when I heard that Airbus is going to manufacture the largest passenger airliner in the world, I was pretty much excited. After 16 years of development work, the A380 made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines.
I tried to bid for the maiden flight however it was too expensive. I wanted to make history to be the first to fly however I was not successful. Things took a turn in March 2008, when I was asked to make an urgent trip to Sydney, Australia – a place which I wanted to visit for a long time. Since there was an opportunity, immediately I booked myself the A380 experience. In fact, I was looking forward to be on the plane rather than to be in Sydney.
If things would to go your way, it will go your way. There was no proper planning for it. I have never ever guessed that five months later after the introduction of this plane, I still make history to fly on the only A380 commercial flight just a day before the London route was introduced & landed in the new Changi Terminal 3.
The flight was steady & calm as claimed by the majority of people. It was much more quiet compared to other planes despite its size. That was truly my uniquely first experience. When would be my next A380 experience? Tokyo in May 2008? Let’s see if things would to go my way.

First Attempt On Blowgun
by chingwei on Oct.29, 2007, under Uniquely Firsts

How about that?
Blowguns are still used today for hunting by Amazonian Indians in South American, and by Pygmies in Africa. They were also used by the Ninja prior to 1500 in Japan for silent assassination with poison darts.
No, don’t worry. I am not trying to take anyone out.
